Enable position sharing to the cloud and follow your boat live from a second iPhone — perfect when you go ashore. All cloud data is automatically deleted when the anchor is weighed. Remote anchor watch from the second device will no longer be possible after that.
Use the QR code to link a second device with GPS and an internet connection. The second device will receive your ship's live position, safe zone, and drift alarms — keeping you covered from shore.
When GPS is active, put your first device on a charger before leaving it in an unmanned boat. Make sure your second device is well charged before going ashore — you'll want it healthy throughout your time on land.

Up and running in minutes.
Launch My Ship at Anchor on your iPad/iPhone (First device). The app picks up your GPS position immediately. Tap the Drop Anchor button at the spot where your anchor is dropped. Let out as much chain as you wish and read the distance between the anchor drop and your current position. When satisfied with your anchor manoeuvre, you are ready to set the anchor alarm.
Tap Set Alarm — you will see the result of your anchor manoeuvre: distance to the anchor drop point and a suggested safe zone size (distance + 30%). You can adjust this to your satisfaction to get a swinging room big enough. Then tap Activate.
Activate the anchor watch. The app runs in the background, monitoring your position and giving alarms 24/7. The alarm will sound and a popup notification will appear. On silent mode your iPhone will vibrate.
On a second device with an internet connection, tap the Remote Anchor button. The first time, connect to the first device by scanning the QR code — found on the Setup page (swipe left on the first device), where you enable Send location to cloud and the QR code appears. Scan the QR code and you are now connected. If the anchor position is not shown, the first device is not sending position to the cloud. The QR code is remembered for next time. To change the QR code, delete and reinstall the app — a new QR code will be generated.
There is one more switch to decide: Track when Alarm activated or Anchor drop. This determines when the app starts sending your location to the cloud. If you choose Anchor drop, be aware that your position is sent to the cloud from the moment you tap the Drop Anchor button — even when you are not using remote watch. Best practice is to start sending location when Set Alarm is activated. Remember to turn off sending to cloud when you are on board with the anchor watch alarm active.
All location logs are deleted when you tap the Weigh Anchor button. No one will be able to see your position from remote after that. Be aware that any link you have shared with family and friends can be reused the next time you activate Send Location to cloud.

Enable cloud position sharing on the boat's device, then open My Ship at Anchor on a second iPhone you take with you. You'll see your boat's live position and safe zone on the map.
If the boat drags anchor and crosses the safe zone boundary, an alarm fires on both devices — the one on the boat and the one in your pocket ashore.
